Tebow CURE Celebrates 8 Years

As part celebrating 8 years of their service to helping kids heal, the CURE staff was honored with a celebratory lunch.

In May 2023, Tebow CURE Children’s Hospital (Tebow CURE) reached a significant milestone, celebrating its eighth year of transforming lives and providing hope to children with treatable conditions.

With more than 1,800 surgical procedures performed this year, Tebow CURE Children’s Hospital has played a crucial role in delivering both physical and spiritual care to Filipino children. To commemorate this occasion, two fundraising events were organized, generating funds to provide life-changing surgeries for even more children in need.

One of the patients whose life has been transformed with your support is Vienns, a ten-year-old boy with clubfoot.

Tebow CURE organized the ZUMBA for CURE Fundraising Event on May 13, 2023. More than 100 people attended, united in support of the hospital’s cause. This successful event generated a total amount of Php 134,000.00, which will be exclusively directed towards providing surgical treatment to patients at the hospital.

A total of 100 participants danced at the ZUMBA for CURE fundraising event to help kids heal.

Cocolife, one of the primary sponsors of the event, expressed their support for Tebow CURE Children’s Hospital. Addie Borbon-Amparo, Bancassurance Channel Head-Mindanao, Assistant Vice President, stated, “Cocolife has always and will always stay true to its commitment of ‘Believing in the Filipino.’ Our sponsorship for the Tebow CURE Children’s Hospital reaffirms this commitment.” Cocolife acknowledges the hospital’s invaluable service in performing life-transforming surgeries for children, and their participation in the ZUMBA for CURE fundraising project reflects their dedication to championing the health and well-being of Filipino youth.

Additionally Tebow CURE Children’s Hospital was selected as the beneficiary for the “Happy Feet 2023, A Run for Children with Clubfoot” event organized by Junior Chamber International – Davao  (JCI-Davao) on May 28, 2023. This event aimed to raise awareness and provide support to children with clubfoot. In a Facebook post, the organizers expressed their gratitude to the 500 participants who joined the event, stating, “Your efforts have not only raised awareness about this condition but have also provided crucial support for the medical care and treatments required to help these young patients walk, run, and play like any other child.”

The partnership between Tebow CURE Children’s Hospital and Junior Chamber International -Davao was solidified through a three-year Memorandum of Agreement signed on April 26, 2023. The funds raised during the Happy Feet 2023 Fun Run, amounting to Php 100,000.00, will be directed to support surgery of clubfoot cases at the hospital.

A signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between JCI Davao and Tebow CURE Children’s Hospital took place in April. Along with their other chapters in Mindanao, JCI Davao will organize fundraising activities to support the treatment of patients, promote the hospital to the media, and look for corporate sponsors to support the hospital.

Activities such as the ZUMBA for CURE Fundraising Event and the Happy Feet 2023 Fun Run demonstrate the power of community coming together for a shared cause. Donor Relations Manager Ethel Ligero shares, “These initiatives help expand the sponsorship of Tebow CURE to children with physical deformities who are financially challenged. As the Bible says in Luke 18:16, allow the little children to come to Him. Similarly, we want the little children at CURE Philippines to experience God’s healing and love without boundaries. We are incredibly grateful to the sponsors, volunteers, and all the participants for being the hands and feet of these projects.”

We thank God for allowing CURE to impact children with treatable disabilities by providing the surgical and compassionate care they need.
